Manoel Vieira is a jazz and classical composer and pianist. He is known for his versatility and artistic plurality. He holds a doctorate in jazz piano from Laval University in Canada and a master's degree in classical piano from the Federal University of Bahia in Brazil. His musical training produces an enriching mix of classical and jazz piano. In the classical sphere, he has performed several solo recitals and concerts with symphony orchestras in Brazil, interpreting great composers such as Mozart, Beethoven, Prokofiev, Gershwin, among others. In the jazz sphere, he has been at the head of several musical projects including the Manoel Vieira Trio, a project of original compositions with choro and jazz as main influences. He works regularly as a pianist, arranger and musical producer with several jazz artists and groups in Canada and Brazil. He has participated in several music festivals, including the Montreal International Jazz Festival and the Quebec International Jazz Festival.
