For JAZZ EN RAFALE-LIVE CAM the first objective is, first of all, to create an unforgettable experience for each musician around outstanding events, so that he performs at the maximum, in the best possible conditions, via the Web. The second objective, which is very important, is to succeed in reaching a new audience, to attract a new audience. Currently with the pandemic, live or delayed Webcasting is becoming a strategy that gives the ability to reach people who can no longer go to concerts and/or who can no longer access everyone's projects easily, here and/or elsewhere. As live music, jazz suffers greatly from this.
Let's encourage Quebec Jazz Artists and their productions to move forward in this planetary whirlwind.

JAZZLAB ORCHESTRA
JAZZLAB ORCHESTRA - The new LOGUSLABUSMUZIKUS experience
The brand new musical program, which the double bass player-composer "Auguste le Prez" has been working on for months, is completely in line with the artistic spirit of several evocative ideas from the Effendi label. The effervescence is great, carried unceasingly by amazing musicians who push the collective's stakes as well as their own songs. The sequences follow one another with the plurality of thematic elements marked by a kind of audacity, which carries the whole endlessly.
In spite of the current state of the art, the thermometer rises with each step as the new experience of the JAZZLAB ORCHESTRA evolves. Subsequently, the multiple statements, counterchants and tuttis are explosive infatuations with no return, conclusive, not very naked, making people flee far behind, health concerns, in space and time.
The JAZZLAB ORCHESTRA, a multigenerational ensemble composed of Mario Allard, (sax alto, sop), Benjamin Deschamps (sop, tenor, fl), Samuel Blais (sop, cl bas), Jacques Kuba Seguin (trp), Thomas Morelli-Bernard (trb), Félix Stussi (pn), Alain Bédard (cb), Michel Lambert (drs).
once again delivers a compositional terroir of a rare intensity; Only powerful....

CALL TO ALL
In a positive vision of development and for the future of Quebec jazz, based on the reality of the Quebec market and by extension of the Canadian market, linked to jazz, Effendi is looking for advisors, collaborators and mecenes to support the special projects of Quebec artists.
Thus Effendi wishes to set up a unique model of "international development" for Québec jazz musicians.
Since there are no concrete projects to promote EXPORT and / or EXPORT projects that can promote and transport Quebec jazz to other horizons, Effendi would like to design, with interested collaborators, a structure with a unique dimension in the musical landscape Québécois which could thus become an essential reference in order to set up mechanisms for exporting to foreign countries for jazz musicians here.
The special mission (title to be determined) would be to create a Quebec jazz industry, for the development of its artists to the international.
For nearly 20 years, the Effendi label has initiated, promoted, facilitated and propelled the career of many Quebec artists (recognized and / or emerging artists) internationally. So dozens of artists have benefited from its accompaniment. Unfortunately, for the past 4 or 5 years, with the abolition of several government programs and especially since the record has lost its share of profitability in the last 2 years, aids and money are rare to support the influence of Québec jazz artists to the majority of international markets, including: European countries, Scandinavia, the United States and especially to the new international markets with very high development potential: South American countries, Mexico and presumably Asian countries: Japan, South Korea and China.
Québec jazz artists have enormous potential, and most of all, they are of international caliber. Find dates are ok ... but finding the financial means, to promote them and to succeed in making them turn, is a perpetual challenge.
The accompaniment of Québec jazz artists to the international scene is crucial today, as the Quebec and Canadian market is not really exciting for them. The territory is vast, there are few festivals, few jazz clubs, few medium and large rooms interested, road transport is long, air transport is very expensive and wages are ridiculously low.
So when you look closely at the situation of each stage of an artist's development both at the national level (outside Québec) and internationally, strategies are often flouted:
The REALITY - today, after 20 years of Effendi's efforts to encourage governments to implement permanent development tools, to foreign markets (mentioned here), little has been done to encourage, support and respond to the needs of producers, agents and / or artists related to Quebec jazz.
So here's a call to all!
Let's open the doors...
To all those who are sensitive to this cause, please express your opinions and write your comments.
If you want to show any interest of support and / or help (of all kinds), do not hesitate to contact me at Effendi.
