Flutist, pianist and composer François Richard received an excellent musical education. At 10, he was already taking private lessons from the great classical flute master Jean-Pierre Rampal, as well as Gail Grimstead, Rampal’s student from the Conservatoire de Paris. In 1970, he studied flute with professor Jean-Paul Major, and piano at the Conservatoire de musique du Québec à Montréal.

Originally from Ottawa, Frank Lozano began his musical studies at Humber College in Toronto with Pat LaBarbera, then in Boston with tenor giant Jerry Bergonzi. In 1990, following a tour of Czechoslovakia with Toronto’s Sound Image Theater, Frank moved to Montreal where he joined the Bernard Primeau Ensemble. This led to a CD release - Detour - and a tour of France with special guest Slide Hampton.
